STÜBA philharmonie
Clueso's biggest side project is definitely the cooperation with the STÜBA philharmonie. What started in 2004 -- the String Orchestral accompaniment and recordings to "Kein bock zu geh'n" -- reached it's climax in the winter of 2009, and that being the phenomenal tour with band and orchestra straight through Germany. The STÜBA philharmonie was founded by ten music enthusiasts in a small Thuringian village called Stützerbach more than ten years ago. That's even where the name came from. Since then, the club has grown to a full orchester size. This pastime and recreation has developed into a new way of looking at life -- thanks to countless gigs and performances, projects such as puppet shows, tours abroad, and especially the notorious summer camps. These guys have won a permanent spot in Clueso's everyday life.
Here are some milestones from the Clueso & STÜBA philharmonie cooperation:
- 2004-STÜBA String quartett plays in "Kein Bock zu geh'n"
- After the first time participiating in Stefan Raab's Bundesvision Song Contest, Clueso and the STÜBA philharmonie are awarded 7th place with the same song
- 2005-Clueso was carried off to the Predigerkeller in Erfurt on his birthday. Here two of his songs were arranged for the first time for fourty musicians--the actual birth of the new cooperation
- Summer 2007-Clueso takes the STÜBA philharmonie on their first small tour. They played in Jena, Dresden, and Erfurt, for the first time with eighty members in the orchestra
- February 2008-Clueso's second time participating in the Bundesvision Song Contest. This time they were good enough for second place, but the country is convinced Clueso is the winner.
- Winter 2009-the emotional and organizational climax to this day: a tour lasting one week with the STÜBA philharmonie in sold-out venues. Smack dab in the middle of it all--1LIVE Krone. Clueso played "Gewinner" live together with the STÜBAs and even scored two awards: Best Artist and Best Single
- July 9th 2010-"Clueso & STÜBA philharmonie" album released. The songs were recorded during the tour in NDR's Rolf-Liebermann-Arena in Hamburg
